You can view the members who sent you likes in the heart tab below. If you are a free member, the faces of the members who sent you likes are blurred. You have to browse each profile starting with the most recent one to view all members who liked you.

If you are a premium member, you can view your likes in a grid. You will be able to see their main profile pictures, so you can interact with the members who attract you the most.

We Met is a new feature of Hinge wherein you privately provide feedback to the Hinge team about your date with a particular match. You can find this feature under the three dots located on any of your matches’ conversation window. 

When you choose the We Met option, Hinge will ask if you and that particular match met in real life and how the date went. This helps Hinge recommend better matches and to also encourage you to get off the app.

Hinge has added a tool that allows individuals to express their intentions about what they're searching for in a possible companion right away.

With 34% of Hinge members having been in a 'situationship,' Hinge is making it easier than ever to screen out individuals who want different things by placing dating goals front and center.

Hinge gives you a number of conversation starters that encourages users to open up about their personalities and interests during a video date - more like an ice breaker to help smoothen the virtual date.

Users can select from 21 poll prompts such as, “If we won the lottery, let’s spend it on,” “A dream home must include,” and “Two truths and a lie,” among other prompts that aim to spark a connection. After selecting a prompt, the user can type three answers for people to pick.

Hinge uses a roulette-style interface to display the profiles of your match recommendations. Hinge automatically displays your next profile recommendation if you click the "x" button instead of offering a like. If the other person you liked also liked you, Hinge will tell you that you like each other.

The filters available to you for screening your matches are determined by the sort of member you are and how much of your profile is filled. You can mark any of your preferences as a dealbreaker, meaning Hinge will not show you matches outside of that range, regardless of how compatible they are.

Hinge allows you to leave a comment or "like" a photo, video, or profile area. You can also send a rose to express your interest (more on roses later in this Hinge review). If the other person responds to your comment or likes you, you have formed a connection and can begin a dialogue.

You can utilize Hinge's video date function anytime after you've matched with someone. When your match's status switches to "Ready," you'll both receive a notification and can arrange the call.

Hinge is expanding its facial verification system, often referred to as Face Check. This feature asks users to submit a short selfie or video to confirm that their profile photos match their real identity. The goal is to reduce fake profiles, bots, and scams, and improve overall trust on the platform.

This tool will enable users to share what type of relationship they’re after, whether it’s monogamous, non-monogamous, or unsure and still trying to figure out.

Designed to reduce user burnout, Hinge's new feature encourages timely responses and engagement by prompting users to reply or end conversations before interacting with new matches. This approach aims to enhance connection quality and foster more meaningful relationships, with early tests showing a 20% boost in responsiveness.

This global advertising initiative was launched in partnership with the New York-based collective Birthday and features seven real-life couples who share the unique journeys they took towards finding love, highlighting how their paths had crossed multiple times in real life—through childhood friendships, shared acquaintances, and workplace encounters—before they finally connected on Hinge.

This feature is designed to help you improve your profile responses by offering personalized feedback. It operates on three feedback tiers: "Great Answer," "Try a Small Change," and "Go a Little Deeper," aimed at coaching you to refine your answers. The feature doesn’t generate content for you but guides enhancing your existing responses to profile prompts.

This feature allows users to share key personal details with their matches before initiating a conversation, aiming to foster more meaningful connections, especially for underrepresented groups like LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent individuals.

This guide emphasizes avoiding generic or trend-based answers and instead encourages genuine self-expression using features like Voice Prompts and Top Photo selections. It's part of Hinge’s broader strategy to stand out from other dating apps by promoting more meaningful connections over superficial swiping.

The No Ordinary Love Literary Series is a campaign that shares real love stories from both sides of a couple. A modern author writes each story and shows what early dating really feels like, including moments of excitement, confusion, and emotion. The stories are posted weekly on Substack and will also be made into a special book given out at book clubs in New York and London. The goal is to help people think more deeply about love and dating.

Convo Starters is an optional AI-powered feature on Hinge that suggests personalized opening messages based on a match’s profile, helping users start more meaningful conversations when sending a like.

This feature allows users to share their availability and preferred date ideas immediately after matching. This helps matches move faster from chatting to meeting in real life and supports Hinge’s focus on real-world connections.
