Finding a fairytale ending at Romance Tale begins by signing up. The process may be quite lengthy, but this way, you get suggested to the men or women who fit your type to a tee. 

The first step is to answer the registration form at Romance Tale’s homepage. Choose from the two orientations (man seeking women or woman seeking men), type in your preferred username, birthdate, email address, and the password you will be using for the dating site.

After clicking “Register,” you will be redirected to a series of questionnaires. These are neatly divided into the “About Your Date” and “About Yourself” sections. With 10 questions per section, Romance Tale allows you to skip them and review for later. Still, it seems like answering in one go will save you more time and effort.

In the “About Your Date” section, you will be asked questions on your ideal person’s physique, status, and habits. Provide details on your type’s age range, weight, height, and body type. You can also indicate if you prefer someone with or without kids and someone with or without vices.

The “About Yourself” section will require you to answer 13 basic questions. Information similar to the above, plus your marital status, educational attainment, religion, and occupation, will be asked. Once you’re done, you will provide your photo and a short bio in this section.

After completing—or skipping—these questionnaires, Romance Tale will now email an activation link. Click it to begin what is hopefully the journey to happily ever after. 

The means to get in touch with members are rather plentiful at Romance Tale. You get to choose from subtle actions or go big with grand gestures.

• Faces

Review photos up close with Faces, Romance Tale’s version of the popular swipe left or right feature. Click “Like” if the member caught your eye and “Skip” if you prefer to keep looking. At the bottom, you will see the member’s basic details as well as the site's messaging features.

• Like 

Tell a member you like them by clicking a button. The “Like” button can be found on the Faces feature or on the member’s page itself. Probably the best part is that you can send likes for free.

• Send a Wink 

Start a wordless flirtation when you send a “Wink.” Similar to the “Like,” you can find this feature on Faces or the member’s page. It’s also free so wink to boys and girls left and right.

• My Favourites

Add all the interesting men and women you come across to your “My Favourites” list. That way, you won’t lose them in the sea of plenty since you can always visit your list.

• Live Chat

Similar to Instant Messaging, Live Chat allows you to interact with the website's online members. You can also send photos and videos via Live Chat. Note that you'll need to pay to have full access over this feature.

• Mail

Let your feelings be known even if the woman or man in question is offline at the moment. With this paid feature, write a letter—attach photos and videos as well for full effect. 

• Send Flowers or Gifts

Despite the distance, deliver some gifts or flowers with this rather neat feature. Visit the gift catalog and have your order delivered right at their doorstep.

• Contact Requests

If you want to interact outside of Romance Tale, request the details of your match. This action will automatically deduct a certain amount from your account.

• Meeting Requests

Probably another unique feature of this dating website is the meeting request. As its name suggests, use the feature to arrange a person-to-person meeting with a match. 

Romancing members may be limited to wordless interactions for standard users. It's probably best that you can browse and review the member's details for free. That way, you can be sure you’ll be spending on someone you’re interested in.

As mentioned, Romance Tale allows standard accounts to browse complete profiles for free. You also get to view photos in their full-sized glory as long as they are set to public.

Since Romance Tale fosters intercultural relationships, the detailed information can help you form a general idea of what a particular Asian member is like:

• Name and Age

This section will display the member’s name and age. Note that they may use screen names to protect their privacy.

• Photos

As mentioned, you can take a look at the members’ photos—as long as it’s open to the public. Some members upload private photos; in this case, you’ll have to message the member first to view it.

• Personal Info

Right under the member’s name and age is their info. Details include their Romance Tale Member’s ID, location, height, and weight.

• Chat and Mail History

These two are placed side-by-side for easy viewing. You can only see the chat history if the member is online. If they are offline, you’ll only be able to see the mail history. If you previously communicated, your messages will be displayed here.

Under the messaging history, you’ll be able to see the following:

Despite the amount of information, there are numerous reports that a lot of the accounts at Romance Tale are fake. Claims state some of the photos found on the site are not by actual members. These photos are reportedly lifted from catalogs and feature random Asian girls or fitting models.

Aside from the photos, reports claim you can spot a fake account since their messages are repetitive and overtly sexual. During our review, we did receive sexual messages. Upon further investigation, their profiles looked doubtful.

This concern is probably why Romance Tale introduced ID verification. In this feature, members who want their accounts to get validated are required to upload a verification form and valid ID. Once verified, a member’s page will sport a “Validated” badge.  

Unlike most dating sites, Romance Tale offers Credits instead of monthly subscriptions. These will be used for almost all interactions while on-site—chatting, messaging, and ordering gifts.
