Having an account on FindSomeone requires you to disclose some necessary information, such as your full name, birthday, marital status, location, and gender preference. There is no limitation if you want to sign up as gay or bisexual. You also need to be ready with the username you wish to use, password, and email address. The activation link is sent to the email you provided, and that is the only way to enter and fully access FindSomeone for the first time.

After you click on the activation link in your email, you are redirected to an edit page of your profile. You are asked to upload a photo, which you can skip and do later. You can also choose to fill out the rest of your profile information later if you want to explore what the site has to offer first. However, low-quality and suspiciously fake accounts are immediately terminated at least 30 minutes after account activation. Thus, it’s best to complete your profile as soon as possible.

The contacting features of FindSomeone are basic and common. However, the use of these features is limited to standard members. Standard members can only send ten smiles (or hugs, winks, kisses) daily, while premium-paying members can send an unlimited number. Free members are limited in viewing their matches on the Matches page and can only browse the first three pages. Gold members, on the other hand, can see all profiles. Paying members can send unlimited messages to anyone on the platform.

All members can use the advanced search filters available. You can browse by location, appearance, lifestyle, background, age, and keywords. You can even add members to your Favourites list; there is no limit on how many members you can add.

Profiles of FindSomeone members have three tabs. The first tab consists of a profile headline and an introductory paragraph about the member if he or she chooses to write one. You can also find some basic personal information about the member’s appearance. At the bottom of the first tab are details about the ideal person the member is looking for on the site. A small chart also indicates if you and that member match each other’s criteria.

The second tab is titled ‘Lifestyle’, which features a more detailed profile of the member in terms of his or her likes and interests. On this tab, you can find information about the member’s interests in sports and exercise, food, hobbies, TV and movies, books and magazines, and lastly, arts and theatre.

The third tab of the profile is named ‘Thoughts’. It shows members' thoughts about children, commitment, drugs, and intimacy. Profiles can be forwarded to your friends via email. Despite the site's efforts to filter suspicious accounts, fake profiles are still possible. However, the site immediately suspends fake profiles upon detection to ensure a safe dating experience.
